When it comes to Investment Strategies for the Stock Market most people believe that there is only one safe strategy.

‘Buy and Hold’

The reason why most people believe that this is the safest investment strategy for the stock market is because that is exactly what their financial advisors have told them. Have you ever heard the phrase

“The key to successful investing is Time In the Market NOT Timing the Market”

I believe that this is a lazy approach to investing and is really just an excuse to hide the fact that some financial advisors have no idea what the market is doing. Wouldn’t successful investors use multiple investment strategies for the stock market? If the market is at a record high and there is a chance of a correction then surely there is something that you can do (other than selling your stocks) to protect some of your profits?

The reason why financial advisors don’t want you to know about any other investment strategies for the stock market (other than buy and hold) is because it isn’t in their interest for you to know about them. They want you to remain reliant on their advice and have you feel as if the stock market is a very scary and dangerous tool – only to be tamed by the so called experts.

What is your opinion? I certainly believe that at times the stock market can be very scary and dangerous but like any thing; the more you educate yourself the more comfortable you will feel with it.

So what are some Investment Strategies for the Stock Market other than buy and hold?

Let’s have a quick look one very simply investment strategies that can be used to great effect on any stock market.

Covered Calls

This is one of the most effective, low risk investment strategies that can be used on the stock market. The basic idea to sell call options on a stock that you own. What? I hear you saying. In simple terms it means that you are renting out your shares for a monthly premium and in return you are giving somebody the option to buy your shares at a predetermined price that is higher than what you paid for them.

Let’s say you own 1000 XYZ shares that are worth $15.00 each. People will pay you a monthly premium to have the option to buy these XYZ shares at a predetermined price within a predetermined time frame.

For instance someone might offer you $500 for the right to buy your shares at $16.00 within the next month. Why would they do this? Because if the shares happen rise up to $18.00 they will be able to buy 1000 XYZ shares at a $2.00 discount per share ($18-$16).

The great thing about this strategy is that both parties can win e.g. If this was to happen you would be happy too because you would get to keep the $500 premium and you would also make $1.00 from every share that you sold because you bought them at $15.00 and sold them at $16.00.

What happens if the share price was to go down?

If the share price was to go down from $15.00 to $13.00 then you would still get to keep the $500 premium which would reduce your paper loss from $2.00 per share to $1.50 per share.

Writing covered calls (or renting out your shares) is one of the most commonly used investment strategies by the rich. It is a great low risk low risk investment strategy for the stock market that everybody deserves to know about.

So there you have it a simple investment strategy for the stock market that can help increase your cash flow and also gives you downside protection. What more could you ask for in a stock market investment strategy? So next time you see your financial advisor ask them about covered calls and see what response you get. My bet is they probably won’t even know what you’re talking about because their university course didn’t teach that subject.

Jamie McIntyre explains that making money should not be hard, in fact like Robert Kiyosaki from Rich Dad Poor Dad wrote – Rich people get their money to work for them, rather than working for money. Jamie McIntyre’s 21stcenturyacademy focuses on property investment ideas and share market strategies. Most importantly all of these strategies are easy to follow and implement.

One of the main strategies taught by Jamie McIntyre is called ‘Share Renting’. The technical name for this stock market strategy is to ‘sell covered calls’ but Jamie McIntyre changes the technical terms and lingo so that anybody can use these highly powerful strategies. By using the ‘renting shares’ analogy he is able to give everyday Australians an opportunity to use the most powerful wealth creation tools that are available on the planet.

21 century academy is affiliated with many successful students who have gone on to create amazing riches on their own such as Andrew Dimitri, Nik Halik, Rick Otton and Sean Rasmussen. For people who are interested in investment, be it shares or property then Jamie McIntyre has so much that he can teach you.

The best way to achieve your goals is to find somebody who has already achieved the success that you are after and simply duplicate what they did. Despite being over $100,000 in debt in his early twenties Jamie McIntyre’s desire to become a millionaire and achieve financial freedom drove him to achieve these goals.

To get rich and retire wealthy is a dream of most people but unfortunately for most of them it will remain a dream. Jamie McIntyre and the 21st Century Academy have created an education program that has changed this forever. No longer do you have the excuse that you don’t have the knowledge to create wealth and invest your money. Jamie’s Free DVD, wealth seminars and 21st century homestudy give you every tool that you need to become a self made millionaire. The only thing that left to do is for you to take some action. So what are you waiting for? Begin your journey towards financial freedom today and order your Jamie McIntyre FREE DVD ‘What I didn’t learn at school but wish I had’.

Most people are brought up by their parents believing that rich people are greedy, or in other words – If you earn more money than you need you are taking more than your share of the pie and in turn stopping poorer people from earning a decent living.

So Fact or Myth – Rich people are Greedy?

Rich Dad Poor Dad writer Robert Kiyosaki Often talks about the differing views of his parents. His ‘poor dad’ would complain about how greedy the rich were whilst his ‘rich dad’ always insisted that ‘poor people were more greedy than the rich’.

How can poor people possibly be more greedy than the Rich?

This is a hard concept to get your head around but once you think about it you will see that it is actually quite a logical statement

Think about advantages a Rich person has over a poor person

Money never gets in the way of what they want to achieve or give

They are no longer ‘forced to work’ instead they are able to spend their time working on exactly what they want

Therefore Rich people have both TIME & MONEY to help other people and make a positive impact on the world.

Poor people on the other hand have neither time of money. Instead most of them are so preoccupied with material survival that they don’t even have enough time to look after themselves let alone help others.

Above is a Great Excerpt from Jamie McIntyre’s ‘What I didn’t learn at School but wish I had’ DVD. Jamie explains how an old mentor of his convinced him that the rich weren’t greedy after all.

The opposite argument that I regularly hear goes something like this –

Most rich people hardly give anything to charity or if they do they are only doing it to gain popularity.

I can’t tell you how mad these comments make me feel. Firstly most of the people that I hear this from don’t give anything to charity instead saying “If I ever become Rich I will donate lots of money then’. My argument would be that if you aren’t helping other people out now then you probably never will, no matter how much money you have. And secondly giving to charity shouldn’t be about how much you give it should simply be about helping people. I have know several people who earn well below minimum wage yet still manage to find the generosity to donate their money and time.

I recently received an invitation to a family friend’s 11th birthday party who specifically asked for people not to bring presents. Instead she said that if people wanted to buy her a present that they could make a small donation to her favorite charity. That is what I call generosity.

I agree that some famous people do give to charities to increase their popularity but I can think of worse things that they could be doing.

Jamie McIntyre and Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad) both talk about how people should try to raise their goals. Rather than aiming to just pay your bills why not aiming to earn enough income so that you have the TIME & MONEY to help as many other people as you can. The best lesson that you can learn from Rich Dad Poor Dad is that you need to let you money work for you, not work for money. This will allow you to spend your time doing exactly what you want. Once you have time and money you can really decide how generous you would like to be, who knows maybe you could even start your own charity one day?

So Fact or Myth – Rich people are Greedy?

Well I believe that the basic answer is no and the complicated answer is that anybody can be greedy – The Rich, The Poor, The Strong and the Weak. In the end it’s up to you to decide.

See coz Mr when you’re rattling on heavens gate
By then it’s too late
Coz Mr when you get there they don’t ask they don’t ask
What you saved
All you wanna know, Mr is what you gave

So excuse me Mr, but I’m a Mr too,
And you’re giving Mr a bad name Mr like you
So I’m taking the Mr from out infront of you’re name

The best example that I can give you of Jamie McIntyre’s ‘Law of opposites’ in effect is how most people approach becoming rich or wealthy. Rather than trying to get a financial education and develop the mindset of a millionaire most people simply want to get rich quick. The biggest ‘action’ that most people take towards becoming financially successful is to buy a whole heap of tattslotto tickets. If these people would take the time to educate themselves in the world of finance they would be astounded at what they could achieve.

For the time being let’s forget about the fancy investment strategies that Jamie McIntyre teaches and concentrate on one very simple and old concept. If everyday people could learn and master ‘compound interest’ their lives would start to change forever. I am forever hearing from people who are worried about not being able to afford to pay for their child’s education but did you know that if you were to invest $3.33 per day into a fund that was earning 15% that by the time your child turns 19 it would be worth $110,424. Then if you stopped contributing and let the money to continue to grow on its own it would be worth

- $9.6 million by the age of 50

- $39.2 million by the age of 60

- $158.2 million by the age of 70

Does looking at these figures start to make you realize some of the possibilities that the mindset of a millionaire can give you? If this is what you can achieve with the simplest and oldest strategy in the book, imagine what could be possible if you started learning some of Jamie McIntyre’s new and improved investment strategies (which make compound interest look like child’s play). When you start to create the mindset of a millionaire you will never cease to be amazed by the things you can create.

The ironical thing about tattslotto is that within 3-7 years of winning, most people are in a worse position financially than they were to begin with. Why? Because they haven’t developed the mindset of a millionaire, they have simply been gifted a whole lot of money and they don’t have the correct skills to make their money work for them.

Imagine if someone was to offer you the choice of these two things

They will give you a million dollars in cash

or

They will teach you how to create the mindset of a millionaire

So what would you choose? I know what most people would choose and to be honest a few years ago I would have taken the money too but after developing my own mindset and learning to implement Jamie McIntyre’s Law of Opposites I know that it would be the wrong choice. In order to succeed we need to branch out, take some risks and develop the mindset of a millionaire. Funnily enough, sometimes the best way to do this is to see which way most people are going and head the other way.

To be honest I think the fact that you are reading this article shows that you already using the law of opposites to some degree as most people would prefer to be watching TV than dedicating time to increasing their financial intelligence. The most important step that you must take now is to actually act upon the knowledge that you are gaining. So rather than going back to the couch and watching TV – the time has com to Take action now.

The Law Of Opposites

Jamie McIntyre often speaks about his theory called ‘the law of opposites’ and despite its simplicity and almost comical nature ‘the law of opposites’ is an incredibly powerful tool that can help you create a successful life by developing the mindset of a millionaire.

What exactly is Jamie McIntyre’s Law of Opposites?

Quite simply Jamie McIntyre suggests that one of the best ways to become financially successful is to

“Find out what most people are doing and then do the exact opposite”.

Basically Jamie McIntyre is saying that when you are faced with a decision or situation, you need think about what the average person would choose to do and then do the exact opposite. As funny as this may sound you might be surprised at how efficiently this process can transform your life.

When Jamie McIntyre first told me about his ‘law of opposites’ theory I thought he was being silly. How can the law of opposites help you develop the mindset of a millionaire, surely it’s more likely to develop the mindset of a ‘lunatic’ who has a severe blockage in their decision making process? Well after Jamie McIntyre assured me that he in fact wasn’t a ‘lunatic’ he proceeded to explain why the law of opposites is in fact a crucial part of developing the mindset of a millionaire.

When you look at the results that most people are producing what is your initial reaction? Personally I feel that the general public are far too comfortable with accepting mediocrity. If you disagree and would be happy to produce similar results to ‘most’ people then I can tell you that your task is very easy. Simply make the same or similar decisions that they are making and you will be just like them in no time at all. What Jamie McIntyre is trying to say with his law of opposites is that to be successful you need to do things differently than the general public. You need to start developing the mindset of a millionaire and stop making the same decisions as everyone else.

What is the first thing that pops into your mind when you see the term ‘Free Investment Seminar’? Most people’s initial reaction is “SCAM’. We have been taught by our parents that ‘nothing in life is for free’, so why on earth would somebody want to give us valuable information and not expect anything in return? Then just as we are about to completely dismiss this idea of a free investment seminar the optimist within us pops up and makes us think twice. So the question still remains, if you see a Free Investment Seminar should you attend or would that be a complete waste of time. Secondly is there really such a thing as a ‘Free Investment Seminar’? Surely nothing in life is really for free? Is it?

It probably is true that a free investment seminar is going to have some sort of catch or back ended product that the speaker will be trying to sell, but is does this mean that you shouldn’t attend? Yes and No, I have attended many free seminars and from my experience about 70% were very beneficial. I was introduced to my mentor Jamie McIntyre via a Free DVD so they can’t be all bad. On the other hand there is nothing worse than sitting through a few hours of a long winded sales pitch, so if that is the case I would recommend you leave or turn the DVD off!. If the speaker is honest and upfront then you should be able to gain great knowledge whether or not you buy the product. Generally if the Free Investment Seminar is bad you will learn plenty about ‘what you don’t want to become’ so either way you should learn something.

Why is it then that the majority of people who attend Free Investment Seminars don’t achieve the results that the seminar proclaims they can? I believe the main reason for this is because the seminar was free. Let me explain myself – In order to get ‘value’ into your life you need to ‘invest’ something. The more that you invest into a transaction the more you expect to gain from the transaction? Have you ever been lucky enough to find some money? If you have, can you remember if placed the same level of value onto your ‘free’ money compared to the money that you had to work hard for? Probably not, instead you might have spent it on something you might not usually buy or a treat simply because you didn’t have to ‘invest’ anything to get the money. So does this mean that free investment seminars are a waste of time? No, it means that

“the impact of things are not directly related to their price tag”

I have heard Jamie McIntyre and many financial educators talk about how people have asked them for to do their course’s or attend their paid Investment seminars for free. What Jamie McIntyre normally finds is that these people normally don’t ever use the information or worse still they don’t even turn up to the Investment Seminars.

If you are looking at the above quote and wondering what it really means ill try to explain. It means that no matter how much you paid for the advice you get the real worth of the advice depends on what you do with it. In saying this I want to make it very clear that I don’t recommend you listen to advice from anyone and everyone. This will be extremely detrimental to your financial future.

“The most expensive advice you will ever get, is free from poor people” – Kurek Ashley

Unfortunately this is one of the main reasons why lots of poor people will remain poor. If you told your friends that you were going to go to a free investment seminar they would probably laugh and you and tell you that it’s a scam. It is up to you to be strong enough to make your own mind up. Who knows it may be a scam but if you approach things with an open mind you never know what you might learn. So remember – steer clear of expensive advice from poor people and be open to free advice from rich people. Who knows that free investment seminar might be worth wasting your time on after all.

Everyone knows that the world is now full of get rich quick schemes and people who over sell and under deliver. I want to find out whether or not Jamie McIntyre is a scam or if he is legitimately helping everyday Australians achieve their goals. After researching the internet it was clear that opinions were split – Lots of people highly recommended his products whilst others warned of ‘falling’ for the Jamie McIntyre scam.

In the past there have been many so called ‘gurus’ who have tried to take advantage of the public and this has caused the majority of the public to be very untrusting towards financial educators. Whilst this is totally understandable I am a little bit worried that this may cause people to never advance their financial education for fear of being ripped off.

After reading many Jamie McIntyre reviews I began to notice that there was a consistent pattern emerging. The people that were recommending his products had all watched his free investment DVD whilst the people who were saying “beware of the Jamie McIntyre scam” hadn’t even taken the time to listen to his investment strategies and suggestions.

I realize that the only true way to make up my mind about Jamie McIntyre was to stop reading Jamie McIntyre reviews and to actually watch his DVD myself. So I ordered myself a copy of his free investment DVD ‘What I didn’t learn at school but wish I had’.

While I was waiting for the DVD to arrive I started reading Jamie’s E-book that he offers as a free download rather than the R.R.P of $34.95. This tactic always makes me a little bit skeptical because I hate I when people say a product is worth something but we will give it to you for free. Instantly the alarm bells go off, maybe I should be wary of this Jamie McIntyre scam? But to my great surprise I went into an Angus & Robertson book store and there it was on the shelf for $34.95. My mind was starting to change again; maybe this isn’t an investment scam after all.

After watching Jamie McIntyre’s free DVD I must admit that I was very impressed by the information that he delivered. He covered many different investment strategies including the stock market and property Investing. The best thing about his DVD was that it was presented in an easy to understand way. One of the main strategies that he covers is selling ‘covered calls’ but he describes it as ”renting shares’. This strategy is simple unbelievable. Did you know that you can rent your shares out just like you would rent out your house? Effectively you can become a ‘sharelord’ instead of a ‘landlord’. What’s more he also talks about insuring your shares just like you would a car. This stock market strategy really got me thinking, what if I had insurance when September 11 had happened? I must admit I was very impressed with his DVD, it was filled with good & logical investment advice, and strangely the Jamie McIntyre scam was nowhere to be seen.

So if his DVD is full of solid advice and what’s more it’s free, why are there still people out there who are saying ‘watch out for the Jamie McIntyre scam’? I think there are two reasons for this.

1. The financial industry has been plagued with investment scams and fake guru’s who make outlandish statements that simply will never true.

2. Human beings are very scared of ‘change’ and ‘difference’. When ever we come into contact with something that is different or we don’t understand our automatic reaction is negative. Therefore when people watch his DVD their initial reaction is ‘I’ve seen people like him before, I’m not falling for that Jamie McIntyre scam’.

Unfortunately this attitude is one of the main reasons why the majority of people will never master their finances.

‘Most people are poor because when it comes to investing, the world is filled with Chicken Littles running around yelling, The sky is falling. The sky is falling’.

Robert Kiyosaki

So is Jamie McIntyre a scam or a hero? I think it’s probably best if you decide for yourself. Read one of Jamie McIntyre’s books and watch his DVD’s then you can make up your own mind. Personally I found his relaxed and easy to follow approach to investment education incredibly refreshing and best of all I have since used many of his investing strategies to earn thousands of dollars. Always remember that just because you don’t yet understand something it doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Scam or no scam at least Jamie McIntyre has got everybody talking about investing which has to be a good thing.
